Is Beja Fry copy of Dinner for Schmucks?
by Rakesh R on Feb 16, 2011 10:24 AM  | Hide replies

I have recently seen the movie Dinner for Schmucks of actor Steve Carell (this is a copy of some French Movie, but atleast they admit it). It seems like Beja Fry is a copy of that movie. I liked Beja Fry very much, but it hurts to know its a copy.
When are our guys going to get creative and make movies with their own talent?

Watch the french original, its quite different. Bheja Fry is a very different interpretation that has been intelligently adapted and told to an indian audience with indian sensibilities (which is not an easy thing to do considering the differences in culture between france and India.) Also i saw dinner for schmucks and have to say i saw more bheja fry in there than the french original, so i would say they definately consulted Bheja fry too ;)
