am a tamilian residing in bangalore. so here we can speak a minimum of 5 languages. i watch movies made in different languages. i am a crazy rajini fan since childhood. my college friends as usual marwaris always hype about amithab as a terrific actor. they suggested I watch his movies. main azaad hoon- people, any popular actor in india can act in this movie. deewar - good role black - ok but shame that he could not act even better than tamil hero sarath kumar in suryavansh(suryavamsam in tamil) coming to rajini, people here are ignorant and do not know that amithab cannot even dream of doing roles rajini did in thillu mullu, nettrikkan, johny, moondru mugam, mullum malarum and of course all the other masala entertainers in which he exudes charishma, energy, dialogue delivery, his body language. an actor like amithab, rajesh khanna, shahrukh, aamir khan(u northies hype him as a great actor but for me he is an ordinary actor who chooses gud scripts) will be stars and will fade eventually. but imagine rajini being in the cinefield for over 35 years and still celebrated as superstar with same kind of madness by fans. many people commented here as to why fans are mad crazy for hin. SO f u c k i n g bastds understand " HE IS THE ONLY TRUE SUPERSTAR WHO CAN CREATE MAGIC, CHARM ON SCREENS AND WOW US" SADLY U NORTHIES DONT HAVE ONE TO CRAVE FOR. SACHIN TENDULKARUM SODHAPPUVAAN AANAL SUPERSTARU CHANCE ILLAI!!

suryavanasham itself was a very ordinarty movie.. and hindi movies watched are more smarter now.. thety just run behiind any movies just cause of star cast but ist shouold have some good story also.. and suryavansham didnt had that..period

FYI.... Amitabh Bachchan is the winner of 4 national awards and countless awards in the international arena too...(unlike ur favourite "SUPERSTAR") U think his performance in BLACK is "ok"? I bet tht if rajni had acted in it, it would have turned into a comedy film.. You can google for the achievements of both and u will understand the VAST difference between the two.. Kindly refer wikipedia for proof!!

I bet even Amitabh could not have performed so well as Rajini in Sri Raghavendra or Mullum Malarum.Every actor is entirely different in their ability.Despite having acted in mostly Tamil movies, Rajinikanth is the most popular actor in India.We must appreciate him.As some one told very rightly,most of the actors from Hindi film industry thrive mostly through media,Rajini or for that matter Kamal Haasan or Mohanlal or Mamooty do survive based on pure talent,hardwork and dedication.There is no 2nd thought about that.I happened to see Agnipath for which Amitabh won national award in lead role.To be honest,with due respect for Amitabh, that was not at all deserving.So,please re-check and analyze first on the greatness of roles rather than just quoting wiki references alone.Recently,even Amitabh told that South Indian film stars are very talented and Hindi film industry need to learn a lot from them.Mr.Perfectionist has not even achieved 1% of what Kamal or Mohan lal or Mamooty or Rajini achieved.So,it is not we who blow things into proportions.

Im sorry but Rajnikanth is not the most popular actor in India. He's only popular amongst Tamilians residing throughout India. And please dont put him in the same category as Kamal, Mohanlal or Mammootty. He's not as talented as them. His Chandramukhi cannot even be compared to Mohanlal's Manichitratazhu. And you seem pretty biased towards Hindi actors. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan have not achieved greatness only through media hype but also through their excellent performances. In fact, Enthiran has become successful only because of the extensive media hype and not because the film is actually good.

I don't think you watch national news channels regularly.Rajnikanth's Endhiran overtook all collections so far and also he has been quoted as the most popular superstar in India.Coming back to the talent and acting skills,Aamir Khan has been acting for 22 years or 23 years and has done just 5 to 6 different roles. He has not even managed to win a single national award so far(Mostly very good actors have got national award so far and there is no doubt about it).However,still he criticizes any form of awards and goes behind those Oscar awards.Don't you feel this is something not consistent?There are greater actors like Suresh Gopi,Vikram,Ajay Devagan who are better as an actor than this gentleman.Just by marketing and media,nobody can be called a great actor.Now,there is no need to draw comparison between Rajini or Kamal or Mohanlal or Mamooty.They are totally in different genres.If you happen to see just 2 to 3 movies of those actors,you will understand what they have achieved and what more Mr.Perfectionist has to achieve as an actor?

Your rajni initials sucess cause of Amitabh movies remake only. Padikkathavan, Thee, Velaikaran, Dharmathin Thalaivan and Mr. Bharatha and Mr Bill are remake of Amitabh movies which you enjoyd and given him superstart status and thinking that he is better than amitabh .. No way

If its a rajini film,his female lead doesnt matter.But to cst my vote I will go for Rani Mukerjee or Bipasha Basu.Whoever pairs,Rajini will steal the show.His fans will accept any female as his heroine.Who can forget the chemistry he had with Aishwarya Bachhan in robot?
Thou iam a fan of bollywood khan. But we need to accept the fact that Rajni acts or not its a second matter, But the respect he has earned from his fan is uncomparable, If all fans of boolywood combine then too they cant match the spirt of rajni follower's, & moreove rajni is much much higher that BIG B & SRK,
