imitations..
by jess on Feb 05, 2011 10:37 PM  | Hide replies

the title is to be spelt as Gaddhaama, not Khadama
though kamal has made many movies, there is hardly any philosophical depth in his films. perumazhakalam his best is the copy of an iranian film which was also made in hindi as 'dor'.
many of kamal's better movies are copies of award winnig foreign films without giving credit to the source.

Permumazhakalam is remake of which movie? I know Dor was copied from that movie. Kamal is one of the old generation directors apart from Satya Andhikkad who give better movies.

Kamal- Prolific movie-maker .
by vijayan balakrishnan on Feb 05, 2011 02:34 PM

Kamal is a prolific Cine director the Malayalam Filmworld can be proud of.
Few directors can match his unparalleled skill to tell a story most realisitically.
Kavya Madhavan, with her angelic smile, can handle even demandig roles with ease and naturality.
Srinivasan is an actor wiht innate skills to perfoem the roles of "aam aadmi" with enviable dexterity.
Above all, the ordeal by fire the Indian Maids stoically undergo in the middle east is a perfect story line for apoignant movie for a prolific movie-maker like Kamal.

Perumazhakkalam was wonderful
by Maheshwaran on Feb 04, 2011 08:45 PM

I loved Kamal's "Perumazhakkalam" even though it bit loud in melodrama. Kavya had done a best job through her eyes as a Tamil Brahmin girl. I am looking forward to watch this 'Gaddhama' no matter whatever the critics say
