The review above is half-baked,irrelevant, and reflects the critics as an ignoramus. The Screen Play, direction, Music is not only glaringly omitted but its the colour of Hum Dono which requires 3 para description its the classic quality of vintage artists role which makes the movie timeless and relevant even today. The review reveals that young wannabe generation can never understand the nuances of Yesteryear cinema!
That the reviewer has not said anything about the music is a serious omission. Though Dev saab requested SD Burman (Dada Burman)to score music for this Navketan production, Dada could not take it up because of his commitments. However, he recommended his deputy, Jaidev for the job. Dev was not happy, but Dada convinced him that the lad would do a good job. Dev gave in reluctantly, but Dada's assistant did deliver and his tunes still linger in the air amid today's cacophony. Ah, it was a time life was full of music and music full of life!

Agree that the music of this film is one of the greatest in Bollywood'shistory & a classic gem. But cheapskate blogs like Rediff care one shit about music. I had written a simple, appreciative comment about the music & Rediff simply moderated the same. No wonder, Bollywood has totally gone to the "Bhais" (Underworld Dons) & cacophony rules the roost in filmdom, nowadays.
