Btw why are some of these dumb A--- talking about english and hindi? its not about that, or else he wouldnt have named it hifi, which is also partially english.
With so many plagiarized scripts, with so many derived inspirations, with so many remakes, with so many larger than life images....I think the brand name perfectly suits this nautanki industry.
I mean, look at the kind of actors who win the popular awards..crap!
I'm not Indian so I'm ignorant about why the term Bollywood might be offensive so forgive me, but my understanding is that no matter how the term got started it remains because the Indian film industry is very powerful in all of the ways that the film industry in the US is powerful: financially, culturally, etc. In the world the US and India are unique in that way.
