The songs are catchy, and are enjoyable. I dont expect experimental tunes for a commercial movie like Nanban which is obviously a remake of 3 Idiots which was a perfect commercial entertainer. The main criteria is to see if the tunes are catchy, entertaining and worth having fun hearing. And they are, BIG TIME!!!!! Its a super fun album, probably among the top 2 of Harris Jayaraj's most entertaining. And FYI, I am not a Vijay fanatic. I have only enjoyed those films of his that are really good (e.g. Ghilli, Kushi, Kadhaluku Mariyadhai, Priyamanavale, etc).

If Harris reads this review, he should take it positively and correct his mistakes. If he is filled with vanity and criticizes the reviewer, the reviewer won't really bother but Harris will lose his prestige in the industry.
The reviewer has not listned to the songs i guess.. I think nobody can write a poorer review than this..NANBAN DESERVES 4/5..AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE MOVIE I GUESS U PPL WOULD REGRET.
Songs are bit disappointing!. May be the original version had a better lyrics and tunes, and always there is room for comparision to the 3idiots. Hope the picturisation (shankar) will be good to compensate the song when you see it.

I agree with you. The album does not deserve more than 2.5, though Harris might have put some efforts to pull a few strings.
