By Bollywood standards the movie is quite CHIC'. the parallels being drawn with MI4 seem futile . The cinematography is quite dynamic and the locales have been shot very aesthetically . The direction is slick and the pace of the movie can be compared to any new Hollywood flick . Hats off to the DON2 team .Although a few tweaks in the choice of characters would have further improved the experience . Any ways lets keep it for the sequel (DON3 ..whenever it comes)
Don 2 in general is an OK movie as it entertains a bit (thanks to the low level being set by Bollywood in 2011.) Some dialogs I find it silly especially the one on the color of the jail uniform(if the colour was green and if the DON had said a same dialog then it would have created huge controversy) and by OM Puri saying it 'Its DON' both looked so cheap. Though chasing sequence was good but the director seem have forgot that he was shooting in Germany and with such a rash driving and accidents no police force chases him except Roma, the silliest being Ramo and the other inspector searches very hard to know who was with the DON during the chase, they could have asked the doorkeeper (or whatever he is called) of the building or seen the surveillance camera of who got into the DONS car. These small things take away the sheen of a otherwise good entertaining movie.
Several of your postings are very personal. Some of you are comparing with MI4, some of you hate SRK (yet watch his movies and take time to post), some of you are comparing with Salman, etc. Take it easy guys. Movies are meant to entertain. So, go watch movies for entertainment and feel good. Don 2 fits the bill.
I hve not watched don1 but i think don2 is a entertaining movie n i feel the ASEEM CHHAbra went ot watch the movie wit a sarcastic mind set and wen he says tht mi4 is something tht kept him on the edge of his seat i can guess his sense of movies is tht of a 8yr old...anyways i hope rediff can find better critic for don3....and ASSeem can go to school where he belongs....
