Its nice to see middle class winning but definitely lot of melodrama,getting a handicapped muslim boy,people from slums and al the relatives and friends of candidates.A man who is postgruate and prepared for civil services counting zeros every time he was given cheque,infact the middle class value decency more than anything else and wanted to go to pee like a primary school kid and drinking water like he is on the desert,90% melodrama and 10% quiz
this is all money game, kbc given more chances to middle & lower class coz India's most population is under these 2 classes....if they dont give them chance then other ppl will not show interest to take part. 18crores is a penny against the money they earn by advertisements, sms'es, phone calls, TRP's and other sources. Imagine the sms'es and phone calls for entry they will be rcvng from the country like India where population is more then a 120 crores ALSO dont forget the ghar baithre jeeto jackpot sms'es....they will be minting money...Mr Basu you say no show give out such money BUT you forget to say that no SHOW earns so much money just for showing 4 months in a year.

This time round KBC was a pure and pure TRP gaining game.
Nearly all the candidates were selected on basis other than knowledge (on which this programme is supposed to be based!)
Most of the candidates proved it beyond doubt that they were in reality dumbheads - BUT - somehow managed(FIXING ofcourse)to win handsome amounts! All in all KBC-5 for me was a Damp-Squib, just for garnishing some cheap publicity - It had nothing to do with Knowledge whatsoever.

You have hit the nail on the head. The show was fully scripted; the winners and amounts were fixed. An illiterate woman who lives in a village comprising 60 to 70 huts and works in fields manages to win a few lakhs!!! Amazing, Incredible bullshit I have ever seen.
