Sid Basu is saying that economic background is also a criteria. Its evident that this time they gave more weightage to lower and lower middle income, widow and people with rural background from northern states to keep some drama and to cater to their viewer base in the show. This cannot really be called fixing.
KBC was like a terrible TV show. people should accept. There has been no bias. Every show has to be set up ( a huge set-up with Camera rolling), since camera can catch any fault, it has to be edited well. The Plus point in this show was that all participants could learn something before camera- way to speak, face camera etc- which will be helpful to them later on. Sony has done a commendable job giving huge money to Indians. Siddharth Basu is as always a good show organiser. A show organiser has to be a good planner, a real genius. The Show can be sent to Best TV Award show in globe. Only if we try, we win. Amitab is good as always.
the jackpot winner did not know the answer for the last two questions..... now tell me, if you were a salaried person getting just 6000 per month, would you risk one crore which you have already won, to answer someone else's suggestion, which you do not know for sure if it is correct? unless u know that answer for sure all by yourself..... ????? is that not a big big risk, and if someone as poor as that winner took that risk, then it calls for some genuine scrutiny......... maybe it was a show to increase the TRP ratings that someone got the jackpot....... !!!! u never know..... its just a psychological reasoning with due respect to siddharth basuji.....

man all things are fixed like tv serial.Only bihar is the state where poverty arises.Any candidate from north eastern state will not selected by kbc lobby from 11 years

If you are talking of Rs. 5 crore winner then YOU ARE WRONG. He answered last question FINALLY on DOUBLE DIP life-line. His analysis was very correct. He had said...'Italy never came, France never left'...and he was very confident of it.....that way he eliminated two options and then with remaining two options he could easily use DOUBLE DIP and he successfully did. Before commenting, one should be sure of the facts and NOT denounce something genuine.
small country.28 states with cities,kasba,villages.Few states are bigger then european countries like germany,united kingdom,greece,romania,poland etc.So huge money collected by these channels.Why did not sushil kr get his money i dont understand.
whole drama created by some lobbies who funded in channels like star,sony etc for sms and advertisement.If you see kbc then 10 members selected in week and in month 40 person selected and in 3 months 120 members where 15 to 20 members are celebrity.ONly 100 person who become lakhpati or crorepati.If you multiply 5 crore with 100 then 500 crore they invested by by sms and advertisement they earned 100000 crore or more than this money.more than 100 times of this money.SO who is foolish channel or we people of india.
Though Basu says there is tranperancy in the show,but there is a favourable bias to the IDEA mobile holders as more than 90% of the winners are IDEAL consumers who are the sponsors/advertisers of the programme.
basu could you please share about your income against 19 Cr donation - must be 10 times at least. and Amitabh spoke in the last episode as if it's his last in his life And now we hear he is on 2012 KBC also. ky0n ch0tya b0n0y0? also i observed that money was given only to very needy and poor - this way they are even encouraging and looting poor to keep dialling AND earn; and middle class rarely benefitted. horrible strategy. is liye kehtaa hun chtya banaan bund karon

Pooja...Amitabh has clarified this..Sushil wanted the money in a prize distribution ceremony which is going to happen..
Kaale Chickne - a cheque has to be signed by a bank official..Amitabh is not one..the cheques shown on the show are just for effect..

THOSE CHEQUE SIGNED BY AMITABH BACHAN IS VALID OR NOT MAYBE HE OPENS AN ACCOUNT AND JUST ISSUES FOR THE CONTESTANTS AS FOR THE SHOW.AND IT WILL NOT BE DEPOSITED FOR ENCASHING ????TILL60DAYS HOW ? MANOHAR M M NAVI MUMBAI

There are cheques in all contest..one which is presented during the show be it KBC or cricket world cup etc antothter is actual one given after TDS.
That actual one he hasn't got so far...may be so was fake
