A very colorful personality of Bollywood, and people will always remember Him for his Romantic performance. I like very much his role and acting as Cornal in Hum Dono, Ashwin Shah, Vadodara

True love is pure luck I think. Otherwise think about it, Dev and Suraiyya both were famous, both were rich, both had huge fan following. But still they could not be together.

PM could have had a strong Lokpal if he wanted, it is dangerous to have such a weak PM. We will campaign against Kapil Sibal in his constituency

Kudos to Dev Anand for so vividly narrating his experience. He was a star in whatever he did....

All are human, after all!

At the height of his glory, when women swooned over him, Dev Anand could not get the hand of the woman he loved! But that is life!

Like how his brother consoled him, there need be no end, even after we take our last breath on this planet. The end of one chapter is the beginning of another, but we have to pick the pieces again. That shows real character!

Dev had a happy married life, though might have been troubled by what might have beem if he had wed Suraiya. But who knows, that would not have been a success. So we need to make the best of what is given.

In life, we have to look ahead after learning from bitter experiences; we should not be defined by them. But human as we are, we feel we are short-changed forever. Moaners and groaners do not go anywhere other than in endless circles.

We need to be happy to give others some peace of mind. But human nature is; once we reach some peace, we look for trouble. Dev Anand's life can be a lesson for us all that we can find meaning despite bitter reverses. Also, we have freedom to enjoy now but sadly, we hardly value the same and even blame those who gave their all to attain this sweet success! We can blow it all going by the recrimination, hatred all self-created.

How touching, the story is
by Vijay Kumar on Dec 09, 2011 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

But the fact is that Suraiya was sincere in her love... never married in her life.. till her death.. Whereas Dev Anand had another story to tell... of heart break after breaking love affair with Zeenath Aman... then had another story of success of his another love story with Kalpana Karthik and happiness after marriage... How many remaining untold love stories ?!!!
