what style? If you see his films like jewel thief and johny mera naam in some scenes his trouser is so badly designed that all his assets are on one side. Is that style ? He had no acting talent so he aped gregory peck and it worked till 1970 and once much better looking stars like rajesh khanna, dharmendra came into the scene dev anand films suddenly started flopping, thereafter he banked only on his heroines like zeenat and gave one or two hits and they were primarily because of his new heroines. He did not refuse to change his style which was looking very odd after he crossed 40 and viewers simply rejected him.

every star has his time , it may not be possible whether he remains contermprary or not. kindly let me know where are those stars now which you have mentioned .. there are two ways of taking it ... even if he would have changed people wouldnt have accepted him. How many movies did rajesh khanna or dharmendra have made. dev anand is motivational excample for every body to live the life fully (& gracefully) , he lost all his contempraries with whom he made did some splendid work, but continued to work in his own terms. he was much above sucess or failure.

I dont agree with you arvind. The best example of an evergreen star is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He is still active and calling the shots in the film industry when much younger actors like SRK want to copy him by doing films which are remaikes of his yesteryears films. AMITABH IS TRULY A LEGEND & can be called the STAR OF THE CENTURY. I hope all people of this country
irrespective of cast, creed or religion will agree with me.
