Dev Saheb
by Y.K. Joneja on Dec 23, 2011 06:22 PM

I agree with many others and perhaps with all that Dev saheb was an institution of creativity, performance on the silver screen and in back ground also.
He was not manuplator with media and could not get his dues in his last days.
He was and will always remain my HERO.

DEV ANAND : A LEGEND
by arun banerjee on Dec 09, 2011 09:33 AM

Dev Anand was truly a legend. Along with his brothers Chetan Anand and Vijay Anand the trio have given many memorable movies. Vijay Anand was truly a genius who had directed Guide, Jewel Thief and Johny Mera Naam at such a young age. Wish Vijay Anand had made some more movies with Dev Saab in the 70s.
We Salute the departed soul.

Bollywood vs Hollywood
by Amit on Dec 06, 2011 05:37 PM  | Hide replies

Once Bengalis ruled Film Industry and movies were at par with world cinemas. It had good stories and songs apart from excellent actors. Now only Punjabis and Marwaris are ruling it and all you see is weddings and songs. Neither good story nor good actors (except very few). Songs are still good as a major Bengali presence is still there in it. Yes, it has increased glamour now as they are better looking than Bengalis but content has gone worse. Bollywood desparatelt tries to ape Hollywood but it can never reach there without originality.

I think now bengalees should concentrate on the bengali film indutry, which is going thruogh miserable phase. neither good story, nor good music, nor good actors, directors(except Rituporno)Bengalis should try to bring the past glory.
