In Indian cinema, Dev Anand ji 's contribution was immense. He gave many remarkable and hit films. His command over english speaking was superb. With his passing away, not only we have lost a world class film maker, actor, but a great personality.
Many here expressing sadness will feel lucky if they had even tenth the fame, wealth and affection enjoyed by Dev. So celebrate hhis life. Indians should also reflect why their stars are so insolent, selfish and far removed from contributing to society, by holding vast amount of balck money, miserly or no contribution to much needed charirty and why hold Indian film awards in Bangkok, Hongkong, Macau, London, Amsterdam? Who does that? This wealth primarily >80% is Indian and should be ploughed back into India, rather than hoarding and spending money in already affluent nations. Shameless.
