What Lesson's should we learn from Shammi Kapoor? 1) Control your gluttony, Shammi destroyed his physique by the time he was 38 and his last movie as a hero was at the age of 40. Look at SRK, Hrithik, Arjun Rampal all around 40. They are their prime. 2) Do not consume excessive alcohol and destroy your vital organs. 3) Ensure that your kids have a good career, Shammi never made attempt to establish his children in any career and Aditya Raj Kapoor is still struggling to make a living. Earlier he lost his money in some theme park venture. 4) Save some money for retirement: Shammi blew up money on extravagance and ultimately was living in an apartment.

Most important lesson is: Never promote romance in India to control population. Everybody MUST be Lord Rama (listen to your parents commands and follow them, work like a dog, dont ever have any fun in life, sleep on the floor, you are not people so dont have any luxury and leave your kingdom for somebody else to enjoy) or else! You'll be doomed into hell.

CORRECTION: listen to your parents commands and follow them (upto here its okay) even if it harms your life and is ridiculous (this bit is hard to bite).
