atul. its in gene. Indian cares more for film stars than their parents. Dont talk to drunkards. balan
Shammi Kapoor was a vibrant and energetic actor. His movies even today make u feel so very fresh. May his soul rest in eternal peace and give courage to the family to face the irreparable loss.
Whatever Aditya told about his father is right in as much as Shammi Kapoor was very buoyant & boisterous in all the roles of the cine heros he played in the fims- especially in fims like "Junglee" & "Professor" etc.His commenting that his father left this world to dfance with the God is quite appropriate.May his soul rest in peace!!

I do agree. He was a legend himself. Imitation of Dharmendra style or Amitabh style in dancing... what each actor of this generation has followed in any or some of their movies, (exception Hritik, who tries to create his own style every time). Copying has become simply acceptable formula for success, whether it is song or dance or story or even title of the film. Step by step copying has become an art. Here, we should remember actors of their own and original style, Dillip Kumar, Dharmendra, Raj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Biswajit, Shammi Kapoor, Manoj Kumar and Jay Mukherjee.
Those days, when there used to be one comedian always in a movie, Shammi Kapoor made his presence felt more important than the role of a comedian. Audience were waiting for every jerk on his steps or movement of his body. This mechanism is seen in South superstar Rajanikanth. Shammi Kapoor had created a sequence of graceful dance in every movie he acted, at a time when no hero was dancing so much ( no dancing at all) in any movie. He brought concepts, glamor and cheers. Rajendra Nath, a fine-tuned comedian used to join in his movies to make the movie complete entertainer. The industry will miss this perfect gentle actor, his smile, his dances and yahoo..

Very true,he had his own unique style in the era gone by where such things were scarce.Mohammed Rafi sung all his songs in his Shammi's style and were super duper hits. When Rafi died he himself said that my voice has gone.
