When asked 'what is the difference between you and Sachin?', this guy replied, "Only the bank balance."
The slide of his cricketing career that day.
If you want to see a cricketer self-destructing his career with an 'attitude'. don't see beyond this guy. Didn't someone say 'Talent alone is not enough?'
He definitely was a talented player. He was a gutsy player who stood tall and attacked Shoaib Akhthar ( he was quite fierceful those days ) and won many 1 day and 5 day matches. But, as usual hardly South Indians are given a chance and Ramesh was no exception. So sad, anyway what is past is past, hopefully he would excel in cinema and coaching. All the best to him !!!
did he suck as an opener, this S.Ramesh. Just horrible! never utilized the opportunities with the exception of few matches. lack of conviction, determination is what the Indian crickets lack - so many of them. that's the problem, otherwise, we'd have had 2-3 teams on standby for all tours. pathetic!!!

akash chopra moves his feet much better than him , he had clay feet and he stuck to the crease mostly, akash chopra was the one of the architects of india drawing the tour of australia , a much better batsmen than ramesh for foreign wickets..get ur facts right chandra
