Its a bad movie for following reasons:
1. First of all the title of the movie is misleading, the movie is mostly about Education system in India rather than Aarakshan, director P Jha just wanted to cash on the controversy that would be created by naming it as Aarakhsan. The same trick which was used in Raajneeti by promoting Katreena as Smt. Sonia Gandhi.
2. The entire topic is old(from early 2000) where private institution were banned in some parts of the country.
3. As mentioned in the review, the main characters in the movie often changes their hearts just to support the HERO of the movie.
4. Deepika's acting is average compared to her father's from the film.

All & all a bad movie.

It should be a 'Must Watch' movie.....
by Birju on Aug 15, 2011 06:02 PM  | Hide replies

1. For the superb performance of gr8 BIG B.
2. Perfectly portraying the real menances of today's education system in our country i.e. caste based reservation and coaching centre based education only for notes.
3. It is also a very inspirational movie which depicts that by sheer hardwork, perseverence and determination tides can be turned to your way.

4. Above all it is another Prakash Jha masterclass - unfortunately not exactly for the Delhi Belly or Sallubhai admirers!

Review is really bad...
by Peter Lazar on Aug 15, 2011 05:57 PM

It is unfortunate that good movies are not appreciated these days, most of the criticism I see from the forum and to the review are really in a bad taste, it is a deliberate effort by certain section of media to run a good movie down, I feel if you do not pay the reviewer they run down your movie, the movie is clean and excellent, which deals with the social inequality and regarding the mafia of education system in India, Guys if you are expecting a Ready, or a Dabang or Delhi Belly, please do watch this movie, but of you are interested in clean , and a social movie you should definitely watch this movie.

That is an individual perception of a Movie, I really liked the movie, and every other movie cannot be compared with Dabang, Delhi Belly,Ready etc, the movie has raised a social cause which is very much relevant in our society, going by the box office figures I hope it becomes a much bigger hit than “Rajneti “ Prakash Jha Rocks……

Film deserves a big zero
by ABC XYZ on Aug 14, 2011 06:00 PM  | Hide replies

There is nothing worth in the film to see from story, direction, acting, editing, music all poor or rather extreemly poor. A total failure and for this it deserves a big zero.

@ABC XYZ

just to extend your comment- the movie is also bad because it doesn't provide any historical background, preface or a solution to the issue, instead creates more confusion among young generation.

nevertheless people have rightly rejected this nonsense factless movie.

reservation
by prasu shetty on Aug 13, 2011 10:48 PM  | Hide replies

I have not watched the movie but i hae to say that reservation in india has been abused by the SC or should i say SPECIAL CLASS of people.I have been living in an area where SC/ST people had been given bugalow plots in an area of Chembur,Mumabi.Majority of them living there are professionals and successful. So why do they still keep on playing the SC/ST card to get an admission.I think it is high time the government should allocate seats if necessary for SC/St people on their income rather than their background.

Correct.. It should be Caste AND Income. Not Caste alone or Income alone.
