Re: Reservation is a reality some one likes it or not..

How about India being outsourced? That's the only thing left now.
after reading the following messages I am confirmed most of the poster here belong to an age group of 20-35 and with an education Mcom to MTech..
But.. But none of these posters are aware of the Indian history ... I'm not talking about the modern or medival history but the the time of around 2000 BC when some tribes from east punjab entered India and were later named themselves as Aryans.. they ruled the aborigins and made caste systems and the locals/aborigins were made Sudras (SC/ST) and sachut's (Backwards)..
I just tried to make people understand this land of India doesn't belong to higher castes (Brahmin, Vaishya. Khatriyas) et all..
and after thousands years of social degradation finally there was a period near 1947 when muslims were demanding for the separate land and succeeded making a 'Pakistan', Dr Ambedkar succumbed to Gandhi's tactics and withdrew his demand for the separate Dalit state 'Achutistan' in leu of continued reservations..
I am sure most of the people will have to do lot of research to prove me wrong.. (probably impossible).
so, the whole point of story is that the social discrimination prevailing in society from thousands of years can not be compensated with only reservation until the other sections of the society understand the fact that these downtrodden communities are getting very less than what they have lost in many centuries and it is their legal and humanitarian right to have the equal representation now.

Hmmm...that is the most egoist statement made around here:
I am sure most of the people will have to do lot of research to prove me wrong.. (probably impossible).
So you are the most learned on social issues and think that reservation is the best way to get excellence and representation. Awesome...I guess we all should fight for 'Achutistan'. Why leave something that was duly your.

Your first three paras is full of one-sided stories, half-truths and falsehoods. First and foremost, as an SC or ST, you may feel happy to be called a shudra, but the fact is that it was OBCs who formed the shudra community and not SCs and STs. STs were like gypsies, while SCs lived around the corners of civilization as pariah (incidentally this english word has tamil roots). The one-sided opinion stems from the fact that you are simply quoting max-mueller's theory verbatim while many historians have published work disproving this much-maligned theory. The fact that alternative theories have found place in international journals is never reported by the so-called dalit historians and activists. Often, those who criticize the aryan invasion theory are outshouted and shooed away as saffronists or hindutva ideologues, but never really debated intelligently. And most importantly, what is conveniently forgotten is the fact that max mueller himself argued that dravidians would not necessarily be indegenous people as they could have just been a part of an earlier migration stream from central asia. So if aryans have lived in India for ONLY 4000 years, dravidians dont become indegenous by living 6000 years.
As far as your crib for a separate nation us concerned, you need an explanation from your so-called father, Dr Ambedkar, because it was him or his political ambitions which killed the idea of a separate nation.

@prem k
It seems you are obsessed with too many fake Indian history writers.. get archives from Oxford to get the best explanations.. YJ is over 90% correct in his consensed quotes.
and instead of asking partition questions to Dr Ambedkar, Mr Gandhi's role needs to be studied more clearly..
Reservation is for empowerment of social disabled communities rather than job opportunities. In USA,Brazil,South Africa, Govt and Universities reserve opportunities for social disabled communties through affirmative program. Here few communities denied education for centuries.
Your Cinematic Quotient is low, where you judged cinema from Cinematic Theme rather treatment of cinema. If you can't agree with story, then you find a cinema bad."The Birth of Nation" is pro-Racist cinema,But considered as greatest cinema in the world by all critics.
I am sure the movie is not as bad as this review of it is? "So called backward classes" who has written this thing? 5th standard kid? The reviewer should have stuck to the film and refrained from making tongue in cheek remarks about the educational system and blah and blah and blah!
In India, we are not permitted to make a film with issues- that is understood- why then ask again? But it is half truth- (ardh satya) - a balanced ideas on reservation - take that way plz. Do not ask for full ideas behind why reservation etc..... Oops sorry!! Films are made with half truth always- aandhi, bandini, nikkah, ardh satya etc.... Good but to see the film
Amitabh is brilliant and Deepika is better as an actress, films are made with social theme, but one can not stretch the theme and make films on Caste- it has not been done in media- Do not blame the media ( TV or cinema) - why they are not making sensitive issues= that is there is so many cuts from the theme- take the film as presented- the film's background music on national anthem playing is best part of it- it is an independence day film- let us not see film as debated in Parilament pls. The critic should know this
this is yet another disgusting movie spreading more confusion in the society.. my simple question to this insane director is whether he did any research work on this subject matter or was just looking for a shocking content..
this is one of the 3rd grade movie of this decade and Amitabh was challenging the states authority for banning this crap.. my reply to Mr bachchan is that he is a shrude politician turned businessmen turned a white collar criminal and he is fortunate that he is still escaping from law after doing many cheating and fraud cases including the 500 crore land scam and now is associated with narendra modi in Gujarat and with many cheater/fraud business houses..
just wait for few days and the complete crew of this nonsense, socially disturbing movie 'Aarakshan' will be behind the bars.
another garbage movie praising Amitabh... I simply cant understand why this guy is behind every controvercial news..
the director cleverly chooses a controversial theme without any historical data..and just to add more shock values you will find many disgusting dialogues which may lead to disharmony among various sections of society.. it is now clear that this movie was made to please multiplex audiences who have no idia about Indian rural society and the lives of downtrodden communities..
The movie is pathetic and completely fails to deliver any social message.
