SC/ST reservation in Private firms
by Birsa Munda on Aug 11, 2011 07:31 PM  | Hide replies

Its time that the so called upper castes realize that there is a significant number of 'unpriviledged' and oppressed people who need to be led on a 'fast-track' mode towards economic upgradation. Sure, the upper caste will have to make some sacrifices as these are the people who have till now oppressed the lower castes. Important decision making Government bodies should also include SC/ST/OBC's so that society rules are made to favour the upliftment of the backward classes and take stringent action against those who break them.
Also the government should impose substantial reservation in private firms and institution as well as the current reservations are limited to public institutions only. Only then India will be a true secular nation.

Dont tell me that this generation of people belonging to SC/ST has faced atrocities from upper caste. That's the thing of past now. Better would reservation be reservations based on economic background. Whats point in giving scholarship to son of SC IAS officers and other rich SC/ST and backward class families. Better distribute amongst poor. But habit of reservation have made all rich backward class peoples useless and dumb. They want their own satisfaction at the cost of poor people, even if that poor is from backward class. 60 years is long duration man and generation who faced atrocities is extinct now. This is new generation and there should be same level playing field for all, except for physically handicapped and economical weak families and people. Would it be shameful for you to take what would have benefited the most needy persons in India. Believe in your capabilities and without reservations, you could be successful, if its your destiny.

as long as untouchability exists in the nation, there will be no equality. You must be NRI if you do not know about the issue.

What equality are you talking about? If you are equally capable as the guy next door you are equal to him. If in today's day and age one says "Because my great grandfather was marginalised so I should draw benefits today" then its time for him to wake up and talk sense. Which world are you living in?

Why talk about reservations now, you should demand that apart from SC/ST/OBC no person should be given any kind of job in India and they should be thrown out of the Country............ Probably then you will get justice or do U expect more...Kindly Never talk about increasing ur knowledge..... F..K the politicians who support reservations........

too much aarakshan
by Nayak Ramachandra on Aug 11, 2011 07:13 PM  | Hide replies

In Banks employes belonging to the 'aarakshan'group generally do not work efficiently and when pulled up by the manager they threaten him with complaint of harrassment of 'aarakshan'group. Now it is learnt by me that if any misconduct or fraud is committed by these 'aarakshan' employee he will not be dismissed at any cost, however the 'aam general'employee will be dismissed even for minor acts of ommission and commission. Long live our biased Constitution written by the great person. A teacher in Mangalore University who came late as exam invigilator when pulled up he complained it as harrassment against the 'aarakshan' group. Is there any limit for these kinds of (in)justice when they do not even perform the normal duties?

Its overdue that the "reserved category" group get their fair share of due after years of being oppressed by the so called upper castes. A small sacrifice from them is expected from the upward classes to uplift the backward classes.

it is like cutting off one hand in the hope of improving the flexibility of the other, which has been lying unused or misused. What you are seeking is not equality but revenge.

Our grandfathers worked hard in the fields for what they have got. Nobody who worked hard for their worth could have been marginalised. The current generation should stop blaming the past for their state of affairs and lazy attitudes towards working hard and earning a merit.

Why we can't show the reality ....its democratic conutry
by Harsh Thakur on Aug 11, 2011 06:58 PM

Hello All,

You don't think so we need the change in our constutution that was create 65 years ago with the considaration of that time ...now we are too ahead of that time so it requires a change ... I respect Ambedkar ... but its the rule of nature we need to change.

Every body should raise their voice so that we can have change in the indian constituion ....
There should be some hard rule for the politician who use caste for the votes .... who encourage ..corruption.

I strongly believe this movie should be release without any change .... Thanks Prakash you dared to make a reality film ..

Where are Mr.Mani Shankar Aiyar, Arundhati Roy, Medha Patkar doing..why no murmurs from them...contrast this with the mad dance that happened when the porky loving khan's movie ran into trouble
