Really strong screenplay and believable characters that together bring the story to a heart warming conclusion.
The grit realities of Mumbai along with the fuzziness of awkward situations that the city forces everyone into are so seamlessly tied together that u really walk out of the cinema wanting to watch those scenes all over again!
There's emotion and absolute lack of it, there's depth and absolutely shockingly spontaneity and there's Ganesh in the hopeless darkness that surrounds everyone at some point of our lives.
Definitely in the league of Ishqiya, Kaminey, Waisa bhi hota hai-part II, etc! Not for folks who like mushy rom-coms, chick flicks or SRK/Karan Johar and other similar jokers' movies.
Dont waste ur money on this trash, its not worth watching even at home. This reviewer has given 4 and half star, this mean either this person is on crack or is in ekta's payroll. biggest joke are the line : "Raj-Krishna's Shor In The City robotically registers itself in Indian cinema's history. Many thanks; you guys have elevated our filmi standards to mounting heights. And Ekta Kapoor [ Images ], you are a woman of paradox, you make us cry on the idiot box, whereas those cries are converted into spells of disbelief as you financially aid in charting out historic, cinematic delicacies. There, take a bow" These words prove Mr reviewer ur on coke! Go get a life instead of fooling moviegoers.

U've gone mad. People like u want DDLJ like stuff again and again. U don't have the basic sense to see and evaluate a movie.
i am totally convinced that reviewers are in the pockets of influential film producers.
4 stars is really double than what it should be. this movie can be a 2 star movie, nothing more.
very very unrealistic story line.
and those not from Mumbai, do not think that this movie is what Mumbai is all about. You will be in for a very very very rude shock if you try anything of that here e.g. carrying guns, pocketing 10 lacs when no one is looking. Maybe the law is not what it used to be some years ago before the city started over-populating, but definitely not true of the horrible nightmare one can get into if you try this. so watch out and dont believe for one moment that such a thing happens day in and day out in Mumbai. Sorry no.

True. Very useful advice.Often by watching movies people develop a wrong notion about Mumbai. Despite all flaws Mumbai is driven largely by rule of law & even politicians do not behave like their counterparts in other part of country. So if anyone takes laws for granted in Mumbai he surely would land in a big trouble.
4 Stars really???? I mean, lets c , its a decent movie and its about Mumbai (home!!!). Certain aspects of the screenplay, really nice. Storyline - different, but lacking depth. Editing - serious need for it in the first half.
Makes for a pleasurable watch yes, but the first half is seriously too slow. One wonders where the story is going for a while.
Actors do a good job. But overall somehow in my opinion doesnt seem to combine together that well into something which held my attention....
Alternative cinema....thumbs up decent screenplay and camera work ...thumbs up
one of the best movies to come out of bollywood.......r u kidding me?? its a decent movie...
