I personally never felt that music by GV is extra-ordinary... hes all here b'cos of rehman.

hope he works hard and gives some mind blowing music like ARR.

Absolutely true. Everyone is human. GV has infact given some good songs. Vizhiyil in Kreedom is my favourite of his compositions.

My favourite from GV's composition is Veyyilodu (Veyyil), Urugudey (Veyyil), Akkam pakkam(Greedam), and Nilladidum (Ayirathil oruvan)... He's improving steadily and thats good sign...
