Response to Samyak Gowda
by bala sreenivasan on Apr 12, 2011 01:14 PM

Namaskara Samyak Gowdare! As a Tamil who has been living in Karnataka for several decades now, I have a lot of respect for the state, its people, language and their tradition. I have, on several earlier occasions, posted messages in this column praising Kannada films and filmmakers. I am a lover of Kannada literature which has given the greats of Basaveswara, Akkamahdevi, Shivram Karanth, Ta.Ra.Su., Gundappa, Byrappa, UR Anantha murthy, A,Na.Kru, Masti, Gorur-just to mention a few. I have been particularly fond of movies by the legendary GV Iyer (Hamsa Geethe), P Lankesh, BR Panthulu, SR P Kanagal. Try to learn about Tamil people and their culture to overcome your prejudices. I am deeply hurt. However, I am sure you will be able to rise above your narrow regional feelings based on generalised surmises. I have implicit faith in the decency and goodness of Kannadigas. Sri Krishandeva Raayarige Jayavagali!

Talking about looks, Hehe lets not even get started Mr Gowda on the rajkumar brood.
Yes its possible that the movie is trash but atleast we do not have a film industry that is as good as a CD shop (Cut Copy Paste)

Step 1: Time to screw urself

We Tamilians enjoy what we do and do not cross anyones path. If you have a problem with that, go to Step1.

Malayalam films ..yes I understand ..but Kannada and Marathi art films ? Look at the history of National Awards to see how Tamil and Malyalam films have done . Also everyone knows that Kannada films are all B-Grade . Even Kannadigas dont watch their films.
