there is nothing new in terms of story or location.Seems like old wine in new bottle!poor hard working girl taking care of family..(yawn),kind hearted tea shop owner,neighbours,ordinary gold hearted villagers...have seen a lot in many old mallu movies.Lal jose is in decline..he has lost his touch after Class mates.Dont know why he his getting hyped for mediocre work?

still a notch better than most of the 2010 releases. wat i liked abt the movie is it simplicity nd vrithikedillayma. movie is OK tho not exceptional. the major flaw lies in the script which smtimes tend to take a detour to all those steriotypical roads. perhaps sinduraj is not that good to write a script that could glue the viewers onto their seat, as smone mentioned in here. but considerin the low standards of most movie out this year, elsamma deserves appreciaton and a good run. Its a revelation to see these fresh faces making it happen in the BO. specially this gal aan was not tat bad playinthe title character like most debutant actors.

You're right. After a disastrous onam with stupid releases like 'Yakshiyum njanum', it is nice to see all the Ramzan releases doing good at box office.

unfortunately we had one of the worst onam's ever when it comes to movies wit crap over crap. i cannot remember the last time i had not gone to theatres to watch a cinema during onam holidays. after having supercraps like yakshi, its a relief to get some nice movies for ramzan. and quite happy people liked it. I for one would like to see all 3 movies getting places in the hit charts.

Dear S.Kunna, It is very unfortunate that Malayalam movies going so steep down,but comparing other movies we can get little happy by this movie,comming next 10 years will be great challenge for malayalam movies ..we should encourage movies best among the group like this otherwise after some years malayalam movies will only be in Library
elsamma is a good film of 2010.Many talented new comers are coming to malayalam cinema and now it is in changing track.As a new comer,they not have been 100% perfect.But we should congratulate them and give more chances to them. Aun is a talented actress and i am sure that she had a good future im malayalam films. My heartly congratulations to every new comers of malayalam film.

wow man, u found it atlast. u r a genuis. 1st in yukki forum, u found out i was paid. now u found out i am the same jayadevan and ravisankar. well FYI, am not ony tem, but anoop, mangoe and everyone speakin for star movies.
Elsamma will be a hit movie.Fantastic performance by new comer Aun . Malayalam film need some new comers. I think this film will run successfully even after september 24. Every one know about sep 24. The "TYPHOON" of indian film history rajathi raja rajani sir's "ENTHIRAN" after the mega block buster 'sivaji'is releasing at that date. Other 2 films will stop at that time. Many theatres in kerala (around 110) charted enthiran. I am sure family audience still watch elsamma and make it a hit. My heartly congratulations to any new comer in the film industry.
