I have seen the film yesterday. One should have extraordinary patience to watch the first half. I can't express it in words. Jagathy and Suraj Venjaramoodu acting in the worst ever comedy scenes in their life. Songs at inappropriate places add to the woes. Most of the songs are absolute waste. Only in the second half we feel that we are watching a movie. Overall Paresh's rating is justified in this case.

Paresh"s rating is not justified inj this case,this mopvie is a clean entertainer as well as a thriller,ya things do move faster in second half yet that does not mean first half is a disaster.I HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE AND LOVED IT FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF MOHANLAL,THE SCRIPT,DEPICTION OF NAXALISM IN AP AS WELL AS SUPERB CLIMAX
a good movie with a good message, thats what i can say about shikkar. first half was utter boring with two unnecessary songs esp the lal song. 2nd half was kind of a thriller u can say... but ya atlast i saw a good film of mohanlal after disasters like brahmaram, oru naal varum, red chillies, angel john. The only watchable mohanlal movie in the near past was evidam swargamanu. (Guys, this is my personal opinion. i'm not claiming these are bad movies. but i didnt like it, thats all)
jagathy and suraj were wasted in this movie. didn't feel like laughing at those comedies. also palerimanikkam heroine didnt have any role to play. But ananya was cute, lalu alex played his part well. also it was good to see mani doing something other than hero or villain role. A couple of suspenses, serene locality, mohanlal not showing heroism were some other pluses.
Yet, I'll give this only a 2.5 just becos of an utter nonsense 1st half
its a worst movie i ever seen.pls dnt watch or else u will loose ur mind.mohan lal should stop acting.veettil poyi naamam japikkan.we send u a lifetym acheivement awrd at home.

From ur comment itself it is understood that u didn't watched the movie.. shikkaar is an excellent movie.. Please don't degrade it..
i saw both the films shikar and pranchiyettan. i do read rediff reviews.This time after watching the film i read this. What to say abt paresh's review .. too pathetic.From now onwards i dont believe rediff's review abt malayalam film. paresh, please do not write any more reviews abt malayalam films .. its a request ..
Shikar is a brilliantly executed film.Excellent climax. Super camera work . Can rate 4/5 Pranchiyettan is a worth to watch film.But far behind palerimanikyam. can rate 3/5

but u said that the people were clapping in the end even for flop movies like alexander the great, oru naal varum, angel john etc..how can we beleive you?
have seen this general trend of coming up with the South indian movies n stars, where as there are several othr great films and actors in marathi bengali Oriya, Ahamiya regional language. Why rediff doesnt showcase them?

Go and see a physiatrist or perhaps a good quality entertainer like POKIRI (Peekiri) RAJA.......which has awesome story / direction / acting especially dance sequence like a dog trying to Pizz into electric post .....he he he
