Swarnalatha Passes Away
by pradeep menon on Sep 13, 2010 07:59 PM

Its surprising rediff has not posted any article on this unassuming south Indian playback singer who has sung 6000 songs and passed away yesterday at the age of 37,A talented singer who sang the popular song "Hey Rama" from Rangeela & many hits for AR rahman in Hindi as well as Tamil,Telegu & Malyalam, starting her career in 89,is definitly a big loss to south Indian playback singing.Request rediff to post an article on this young singer who achieved so much ,including a national award for one of Rehmans composition in such a short life .

Unstoppable looks promising

Anything with Denzel Washington in it is worth watching. The Taking of Pelham 123 was an engrossingly tense drama. I hope this one too is an ace. Meanwhile, watch out for The Town starring Ben Afflek.

Who wants to see hollywood movies these days? They are boring. Only technology is on the higher side. Movies have lost their charm.

Yes, you can say Karan Johar or Bhansali's movies. You can even try masterpieces like 'we are family.' Bollywood makes all these brilliant movies with brilliant performances. Strangely, somehow the stories are all set in Australia, New York or New Zealand.

Nice list. Megamind and 172 hours look cool. Due Date looks like a re-imagining of Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Unstoppable seems like Speed...on speed.

I agree! People not in the writing business think everything's done for some form of personal gain.
