Freddie was a s-e-x-u-a-l-l-y confused Parsi boy from Zanzibar.
This distinction is more for the band than for him exclusively.
Can you mention any of his solo hits or how many of them he has compared to Clapton or Santana?
That is because he never had a solo career because of his gender preference and the racist people in UK would have had nothing to do with him if they would have discovered he was not White, Anglo-Saxon like them.

A rock band is not a solo enterprise - it has atleast 4 members. We are talking about 'Rock Legend', not any pop stuff. Know your music before commenting.

my point is - even if he said that, it does not any way make India bad, or neither it takes away the fact that he was a Indian.
