a good movie is a good movie-we are family is certainly better than the vulgar ishqya,the pseudo-intellectual rajneeti and peepli,and the over-the top dabangg. though i agree,mnik was much better..
Movie isn't as bad as depicted.... much needed emotional movie after a long long time... praise worthy performances...good songs...touching screen play and direction...indian sacrificial attitude brought to its best... bottom line... this movie "A Must Watch"... (rediff review as usual stinks big time...)

indian sacrifiial attitude? dude thats an attitude seen only in trashy bollywood films. and in case u have not heard- the story and screenplay is not original.
indeed, though the movie is good in patches , it lacks the ethos and emotion to grab the audiences attention , though kareena does look pretty as ever !!!
Another movie with two good looking actress, a hunk, lots of songs, dancing, emotions and a happy ending... And to say the least some copying from a hollywood movie...
And what exactly is Kjo's concept of a Indian Family.
First it was Kabhie,Alvid,Na,Kehna, and now we are a family..wooing,western,NRI audience with glossy,candy floss treatment of Indian ethos is an other thing,and the reality of Indian Family and Sanskar, is an other Mr KJo...
It makes me puke, watching the same treatment,foreign locales, sugary sweet characters etc, please give me DEv D any day will watch it everyday!!
