Malayalam films loosing its plot
by Veer on Oct 29, 2010 01:56 PM  | Hide replies

This is what happens when we try to go the bollywood, tamil or telugu way. Malayalam films are far more superior and can be remade into any languages at any time. But now, these new breed of malayalam makers are running after other language style. To be frank, malayalam films can never be a bollywood or tollywood since malayalam films have a direct connect with the common man. If they make such films, it will surely succeed. Otherwise, it will turn to a complete duds.

As a Tamil, I have no hesitation in saying that Malyalam films are much better than films in any other language in terms of content and format. they have the best of talents not only play the lead roles but also in the supporting roles-Kaviyur Ponnamma, KPAC Lalitha, Meena, Santhakumari, Philomina, Thilagan, Nedumudi, Karamana Janardhanan, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Jagatheesh, Mamoo Koya, Sankaraadi, Murali, Bharath Gopi, Balan K Nair, Achankunju, -the list is endless. Even their worst films are better than the super hits in tamil or Telugu.

i completely agree with veer.. malayalam film makers had made exceptionally good movies in the past with excellent story line connecting common man but now-a-days its more about commercialisation which is turning disastorous. I feel sad to see this condition of malayalam film industry. even the superstars have lost the sense of choosing good scripts. We look upon them as ideals but they just disappoint us. the only movie by a superstar in near time i remember worth watching was pazzhashi raja. Oh people out there please do something..
