Hi Premraj..
The people of north-east always feel aliented.Inspite of having all the resources and strategic location to be the gateway to south east Asia..the north east remains an economic laggards..it sees coutries around it like China and Thailand progressing fast..but congress has made it the votebank and encouraged immigration of bangladeshies to distabilize the demography...
Now,when it comes to a national show like IGT or HeroHonda or IndianIdol,the people of North East send SMS in thousands and thousands to make its candidate the winner..the people of north east are patriotic and nationalistic...even if for the nation in a war,the Naga regiment or Assam Rifles will lay down their lives to protect the country..so,these shows gives them a platform to express the sense of belonging in the country as people who are contributors..so be compassionate to them,understand them..it is not fixing,it is voting from the heart without thinking how many rupees he lost while voting..this is innocence of the North East..the beautiful peace of land at the eastern front of the great Indian nation...

just think talent wise.. lets not get into grand issues here. ur neglect probs exist.. agreed.. wat is the purpose of competition if deserving talent is not judged accordingly.. i will be the first to vote for NE if the best talent was from NE>... thats my point.. no one is underming NE talent, desire to succeed or ur contributions to the country..

You see,this is not a competition run by some national organization..but by a particular TV channel..you cannot expect it to offer unbiased result and SMS brings revenue for them..by the way I am not from NE.
In fact most events remain fixed,now a days even Ms India competition is so much fixed that our candidate does not reach even top 5 in Miss World or Miss Universe..or say may be even the international competitions are fixed,they donot need new Indian models to sell soap !
IGT is not fixed,it is an event hijacked by SMS voters..such reality shows can be hijacked by a particular lot of voters..if you oppose,then you need to spend money on SMS to alter the results !

Even bollywood actors and actress can perform. It is just the art to perform for fame and
publicity in front of powerful polity in the world. Aren't bollywood heros and heroines perform in movies, shows or events?.
Bollywood record dancers could have exploited this opportunity to perform for worldwide attention and most importantly to avoid security check harassments for bollywood folks!!.
