He is one of rare personalities with a clean image. He is a humourus and down to earth personality.
He was at the peak of the career in the late 90s. But at that time he didnt tried to make a professional circle (to boost his career) unlike what Dileep has done.
Also the post 2000 his hit count really reduced and he lost the minimum garrantied actor label. After the failure of the film NOVEL, director EAST COAST VIJAYAN turned against him saying that Jayaram is the reason for the failure. But Jayaram never raised any complaint against his allegations.

What about VERUTHE ORU BARYA? Was it multi starred, or directed by Sathyan Anthikad? Nobdoy can make a solo hit. Eventually film making is a team effort. How many malayalam films releases in a year can be titled as a super hit? maximum 4 or 5. The decline in the quality of film making has also affected him. Also he is well aware of his limitations.

Keralites like genuine comedy and have gifted comedians like Jagathy, Innocent etc. Of all the emotions comedy is the hardest one to convice.

Baseless comment. How does it bother you if he is from Kerala or TN? He is a fine actor and has acted in several memorable movies in Malayalam and Tamil
