Seems like the reviewer saw the movie with a tremendous bias or shall we say biases...which are as under a)abbas tyrewala is the director of Jaane tu.. So compare every god damn frame with that film. And beat to death every similarity you find in both films. Stupid way to deal with a review.....
b)John Abraham is a bad bad actor.Try to highlight this fifty times in the review by sayin he was the best thing in the movie.
c)The heroine is a newbie so thrash her completely.
Sad that such poor reviews are entertained at rediff. And as far as the movie goes it was a fun movie with a nice subtle brand of humour - a rarity in slapstick bollywood. Performances by most of the cast were brilliant and dialogues were extremely witty and funny.
A little commercialization at the end otherwise the whole film is fantastic, MY COMMENT "after a long time i have seen two good films "Aisha" and of course "Jhootha Hi Sahi" . One more think as a new comer Pakhi was fantastic(not so cute but very beautiful). Very good direction Abbas Tyrewala, very good dialogs.
Watch it only if you like romantic comedies. Only. I do, and I liked the movie. John is a great actor, he just gets his share of critics because he was a model before this. Basically, the movie has tried to portray a very normal setting, the only high end star being John. The comedy is decent. The music is good. A.R. Rahman, need I say more ? I found it better than Jaane tu... But yes, only if you like romantic comedies, you're in for a treat, otherwise, stay away. I came out with a smile on my face. Only if the song "call me dil" featured in the movie, I would have even watched it twice.. But it wasn't meant to be.
