During our teen age, we used to see the films which had Shammi as a hero. His dancing, tilt, movement, steps, were amazing. All the songs mouthed by him became famous. There are rare actors, entertainers, in the industry today, than it was 40 years ago. An actor with dedication, his loss is grave to the film industry.
Shammi kapoor depicted a bubbly, positive, gentleman lover. His dance is not something that can be planned and choreographed, it is what comes and happens when one is in that mood, thus he just did the way what came to his mind. This is a natural expression. Thats why it is unique, pleasant, really expressive. This was his style statement: Unimitable. His sense of comedy, the comedian company of rajendranath , his graceful movements on the screen, and coupling with delicate actresses, the elite elegance, melodious love numbers all come together to make his films immortal entertainers. All due respect, and tears, to this ERA MAKER.

May i have the pleasure to know how much knowledge you have regarding acting without knowing you should not dare to comment on an evergreen legendary actor Shammi Kapoor has been the blue eyed prince of the industry and will remain like this forever

Mr. Lal, do you or anybody go to cinema for entertainment or attending a lecture on serious topic ? I grew up with his films and know people were so appreciative about his films. A good actor can only entertain which you accept.Moreover a negative comment at this sad moment, reflects your character. Search your conscience and you will get yourself completely wrong. I am sorry but can't help as I am in a state of shock since I heard Shammiji's demise.

What do you mean he was not a good actor ? The style and spontaneity in the way he would present himself on screen was no less than the histrionics that great actors have displayed. He was an absolute delight to watch in every scene in his movies, especially the ones where he was the leading star. Can you imagine anyone else in movies like Teesri Manzil, An Evening In Paris or Kashmir Ki Kali?

That is what B Grade films were in those days and were family entertainment. cinema houses used to be full for months on end. Now a day there is neither entertainment nor skills, but pure VULGARITY. ONE CAN NOT WATCH THEM WITH FAMILY AND THEY DO NOT LAST MORE THEN A WEEK OR TWO IN ANY CINEMA HALL. MY GOLD FISH CAN SING AND PRODUCE BETTER MUSIC THEN THE NOISE THAT IS CALLED MUSIC THESE DAYS.

It is very easy,general habbit BUT very bad to say Negative about any body,that too without bothering about the ocassion.Shammi Kapoor was a very successful hero and liked by millions of people across the world.
