See it's not like we are competing in the same 100 metre race or something. No one is bigger than the industry and all our films should do well. If anything competition should be with other language films.... To Ramya.. With which language movie you have to compete... I am really sad that kannada movies have lost the race by aping tamil hindi telugu movies... Dr Rajkumar era was good but Ananthnag era was too good... his movies were comical and so interesting, original concepts and worth a single rupee..i can say these movies are in par with Golmaal, Jaane bhi do yaaron , katha type of stories.... upendra tried something different but it was too much and then he went back coping other language movies...

Hello Sir, Come out of your zone. How long you keep saying that era was good and this era is not good. What you may not like, others will like. Be happy for the fact that inspite of competition from other industries, Kannada Film industry & Puneeth, Darshan, Ganesh & others are giving tough fight. They are also coming with some good movies which are totally out of box.

Coming to this Jackie movie, songs are totally different. Tell me whether you have seen such different lyrics anywhere. Same is the case with Pancharangi. Totally out of box lyrics and that movie is also out of box. Making an enteraining movie can be made with no importance to story at all is totally a new concept. Look at Prathvi. Nice offbeat and thought provoking movie and also became a commercial success. These are few. There are many.

Ravi I agree the songs are different but will those songs or these movies hold their place after 15-20 years as in case of Ananthnag or Rajkumars era? that's the whole point......btw i like Appu as an actor:)

For me Bangarda manushuya, Naandi, Kastoori Nivasa, Naagarahaavu, Sharapanjar are class movies. I find it funny when many people call OM as classic. But many of them who are calling it as class are of current era and we need to respect their views. I am not fan of anyone. I watch every Kannada movie which is doing good and which can be watched by family. I find that movies of Puneeth, Ganesh and Yogaraj Bhat can be watched by family without any issue. I have seen movies of all actors Puneeth, Darshan, Ganesh, Sudeep, Nenapirali Prem, Yash, Diganth though I grew watching great movies of Rajkumar in 79 to 89.

Even Kannada movies can be released simultaneously in TN, Kerala, AP and Maharastra. But they are releasing it only after 2 or 3 weeks. They are following the policy of "Let all Live and allow me to live" not like other greedy industries.
