Anjaana Anjaani scored in UAE while Robot could not make much impact. Endhiran (Tamil) scored hugely on a limited release. The daily weekend figures were as follows.
Endhiran,Robot, is a fine example of how Indian Cinema has gone to the next level of entertainment!!
Its is stupendous, and the real star is Shankar, for his guts in showcasing Sc9-Fi with typical Indian masala formula.Hats off to him!!
Actually the real star is the technology,post-production that has become a forte of Tamil Cinema and above all its Rajni,magic which makes the movie an absolute entertainer!!!
I was just wondering why people in South care about movies so much. Why do they do suicide if a hero dies of heart attack? or why does they burn house and break cars and jammed traffic when their fav heros movie flops...and why do they watch any south movie priced 5 times higher than any other movie..few observations that comes to my mind are as given 1) Definitely these guys have way too much time to think of all this bullshit... 2) They don't have respect for people but they worship actors like a god 3) Their own life is so cheap to do suicide for an actor or politician... 4) These people don't have their own personality or they feels so with their own personality so they like their heroes on screen image so much that they can't get away with this... 5) Movies are for entermainment so people should forget when they walked out of theater unless it teach some messages.. 6) People in our country are so used to watch rape and love affairs in movie that they don't even notice art movies those carries a lot of message for public..."Ye Mera India"..did anyone notice this master piece..

It is just like Mayawati is God for north Indians and they worship her 10000 statues.
First get your illiterate north indians to read and write so that they are not a disgrace to the nation, then come here and write.

I AM SURE ...HE WOULD HAVE VOLUNTARILY GIVEN HIS OSCAR TO RAJNI SIR .... THERE IS NOT A SINGLE ACTOR IN INDIA ... WHICH CAN MATCH ACTING TALENT AND SUPERSTAR IMAGE OF THE BOSS ... RAJNI SIR ...

The full story. Very poor response outside TN. In comparison, Anjaana Anjaani had a 9crore day 1.
Robot (Hindi) First Day Business

Robot (Hindi) had poor first day business of around 1.75 crore nett. The film was affected by bandhs at many cities in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Most of the business came from the Maharashtra belt as North India performed badly and South has the regional versions of the film which left little space for the Hindi version.
The film has does actually have good reports from most places but as start is low it will be interesting if the film can actually translate the good reports into good collections.

Poor Northies missing the biggest masala Indian film for once a week released same mushy love story. Snd u can not enjoy the robo later in TV. Vikram listern to atleast north critics this time.

Chill Northies are not equipped to appreciate and understand sci-fi entertainment hence they criticize and bring it down. They love gyrating hips in bhojpuri,films!!

SHANKAR REALLY MISSED A GREAT OPPORTUNITY HERE , I THINK .. HE HAS GOT 3 YEARS TO MAKE A LIFETIME FILM ... BUT MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY ... ANYWAYS ROBOT IS OK ... BUT NOT WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING .... EXCEPT CLIMAX (WHICH IS MOTHER OF ALL CLIMAX) ... FIRST PART IS VERY SLOW ... NOTHING NEW TO OFFER ... I REALLY NOT LIKE TIMID SCIENTIST RAJNI ... WE WERE LOOKING FOR REAL RAJNI STYLE FROM ...
