Am sure like quite a few of his compatriots from Bombay & Delhi, 'Mr. Bombay Citizen' has judged Robot even without watching it! A movie like Robot makes you for a change feel proud as an Indian & the way your cinema can be made. The special effects & the story telling are something an Indian movie has never seen till now & has set new benchmarks for our dear Bollywood movie-stars & makers to achieve - quite honestly & though I hate saying this as an Indian, I'd be surprised if Bollywood can come out with something like Robot with as much originality & style not to mention substance, & for a change get over their obsession with their 'fair & lovely' characters & story lines! Kudos to Shankar & Rajnikanth for redefining Indian cinema & entertainment............

You are right, there is absolutely nothing wrong in being fair & lovely, this was used as an idiom of expression in my statement & was not against the much popular 'fair & lovely' concept by itself! The point was (in case u genuinely managed to gloss over it), much of Bollywood tends to to focus only on an unreal India where even NRI based love stories involve only that section of the population outside who perhaps comprise of a max 5% while the remaining struggle as much as the common man in India does, to make it in life, if not more. We have the so-called BIG makers churning out pathetic, predictable stuff though they can make entertainment reflect the more real India & the real Indian. On a larger perspective my grouse is that while our cinema used to show the main protagonist facing & overcoming the real issues we as a people face in our daily lives, today's 'choclatey' themes seem to insult our intelligence with their take on the main issues that our youth faces - dont you think there are a host of other issues that we face & that we need more inspiration in our lives to overcome the challenges we face?? Robot if not for anything else, showcases the strength that Indian cinema is all about & am hopeful that Bollywood would take inspiration & churn out better entertainment going forward - we have had Krish for instance which had tacky special effects & Love s

Chill, this people obviously will run down robot without any valid reason for obvious reasons!! They cannot digest the fact that south indian cinema is developed and progressed so much to make India's sci-fi entertainment!

Yes agree with you, an argument using the 'fair & lovely' bit definitely seems out of place without acknowledging the fact that at last we have wonderful cinema create by our very own Indians! Well, this is how some of these small minds are & we've to learn to remain objective in our lives, i guess...
