it is a slow movie.......but it cannot be denied that it is a master piece.....Best work from Sanjay Bhansali......Hrithik stands out in the movie......Hrithik will be always remembered for his performance in this film.

cheap copy of a hollywood movie can be a calssic in so called "Bollywood", I guess copying even the name makes these so called film makers original.Pathetic.
stupid crap movie with 2 junk overacting actors.. slept well in theatre for 2 hours.. dont waste ur money on this crap movie.. next week they'll show this crap in sony or colors..
Kindly do not insult Gurudutt's greatness by comparing with Bhansali.Nodoubt bhansali is also man of finer sensibilities still what magic dutt could create with light& shadow in b&w era with limited technology,equipment can never be matched by sanjay.

Pandeyji! Dont say "indian" people...say the hindi speaking janta has no taste....if u are to see movies in the south of india they make excellent films which are thought provoking esp. in malayalam...they also make blockbuster Rajni....
The movie is excellent bcos of its sensitive subject, excellent performances by Hrithik and Aish and above all non-commercialisation of the movie at every stage.

The movie is comparable to films like Taare Zameen par, Black, Paa etc where if we can not understand the sensitivity of the subject, we can look at it perspectively.
