After getting all advantage from Amir Khan, SHe is leaving him behind to make her own name! She was smart enough to make her way to the top by marrying first then make a film or she shud have made movie earlier on her own rather than breaking a home. There are so many talented writer-director but no one has a short cut to fame like her.

I think you misunderstood Kiran. She did not imply that she wanted to chalk out her life differently from Aamir after having 'used' him to gain a foothold (like Anusha Rizvi), but rather that she knew Aamir's presence would've taken the focus away from her work, and as a director, she did not want that. I think it was more Aamir's idea than hers, and you should applaud him for being such a supportive husband. Instead, your comment smacks of jealousy.
Only Aamir Khan is the rare mainstream actors who can do variety of movies..You will rarely find a commercial actor doing arty roles but aamir broke the funda long back with raakh n 1947 earth.. those days the things were different..now with changing sensibilities n multiplex this film will be a hit..another laurel in Aamir Khan's hat... Coming to the trailor it simply rocks!!different people lost in their own dream world brought together by the dream of surviving together in a CITY called MUMBAI..(Warning : this movie will not appeal to those aamir Fans who thinks that Ghajini n 3 idiots are masterpeice)

Man I do appreciate Amir's talent, but the fact remains that he is not the 1st actor from commercial cinema to enter a art cinema there were many others. One name that instantly comes to mind is Shashi Kapoor.

Aamir Khan plays it safe. He only plays author backed roles of similar type: Friend - Philospher and Guide types. Only the get-up changes.
In all this while he has never played a negative shade character ever.
I think he should diversify his acting profile, he is only working in his comfort zone.
