Inspite of being the King Khan, SRK is not what you'd call the complete actor. He is good with a certain type of roles, and a disaster in others. But having said that, there is no denying that he is a fantastic entertainer, and can carry a film off by his sheer energy.
I enjoyed watching him in DDLJ, Badshah, DTPH, KANK etc. He has a good comic timing and is comfortable when he is the butt of the joke. The only other role outside of romance and comedies I saw him carry off with aplomb was the frustrated loser of KANK; he was just too good. As for the others, like Swades, Chak de etc, it was the movie that was good, not SRK's acting.
I believe SRKs best movies came in initial phase of his career. He is a tremendous actor with unlimited energy. I believe his best movies are 1) Kabhi Hann Kabhi Naa 2) DARR 3) Raju ban gaya gentleman
And ofcourse DDLJ.
His movies after 2000 are good/great but they are not the best.
