He asked the auto driver a question who is intelligent amongst you.. he responded with an action by putting his hand in 'pocket' .. just when chalu clicked the photo...
whenever a south actors photo is published there is a hell lot of unwanted comments from northies... why not we south indians do the same to bollywood actors

Isn't it strange. Everyone (almost everyone) in this message board has heard of Rob Schneider (another 'spotted' post in Rediff). But when it comes to Mamooty or Some South Indian star, the barrage of filth opens up. When you can be charitable about a Hollywood 2nd grade comedian (yes - Rob is not the finest comedian by any measure), why can't you be polite when it happens to be a South film actor that you haven't heard of? Just shows the mentality of a few rotten eggs & perhaps, why we easily got subjugated by the British. I am not going to point fingers now about where you are from, but i hope you get the message.

this is super stupid argument- how many bhojpuri movies south indians have seen and how many bhojpuri actors they know- of course, they don't and it is OKAY because south indians dont speak bhojpuri..... same with north indians- they dont speak tamil or telgu- but they do know hindi and english - SO THEY WATCH HINDI AS WELL AS ENGLISH MOVIE.. nothing to do with south or north- just the language..

North Indians are servile and slavish to white skin. They feel very jealous about any south Indian achievement, and will try to make themselves feel good by trying to mock at any and every south Indian achievement.
Since they know how backward their north Indian villages and towns are these people will come out in full force taking ill about south whenever any south Indian achievement is highlighted.
Ditto with any south Indian actor.
This is a behavior pattern you will notice in most north Indians.
But when it comes to a white skinned person, these very north Indians will try to humour that person even if that person is an absolute nobody.

In the olden days...there used to be a Spot the ball contest in Sportsweek ..where the ball in a cricket picture was hidden and readers had to mark a cross where they thought the ball is. Winners won a free subscription. Similarly Rediff is now embarking upon a Spot the Star contest (beta version) where readers will have to put a big cross on the face of who they think the star is.
Mamooty looks great. Has maintained himself well after all these years - can you believe he is 60 ? Certainly one of the original stars of India and ranks with Amitabh & Kamal. These guys are in a different league altogether.
Pity the morons who make fun of people out of sheer ignorance (read stupidity).
