yeah he is in certain aspects. But it is another thing those things cannot be mentioned in public
I want to make a tennis moovie in malyalam with mammoty as rafal nadal and mohanlal as roger federer. It going to be big rivalry. With Mamooty winning matches on clay court in cochin and Mohanlal winning grass court in trivandapuram!! Super Duper block buster Hit Moovie!!

Even keralites are waiting for these two to quit movies thats why other language movies dubbed into malayalam are getting a good response since the last few years.

thats proabaly why hollywood movies are collecting big all over the world. that being the truth it looks to be a universal phenomenon.. you have 80 year old clint east wod and 70 year old harrison ford there as well.. time to grow up mate..
I am sure Telugu, Tamil, Malyalam and Kannada people will fight with eachother here..to prove their cinema is the best.. this is India.. Southies fight with Northies .. If this is related to kannada other states will criticise and like wise... keep it up .. THats why britishers ruled india..

Stop making insults to our Mammootty. He will work everywhere, if the script is right. Kannada is also South Indian like Malayalam, Tamil n Telugu. Don't create artificial walls around us. We are one.

do not make dirty statements like this without even seeing the movies in kannada. Most of the top stars from South India and even Bolly wood have acted in Kannada movies. you cannot make stupid statements like this. you wanted the list of persons who acted in Kannada. Pls take this- Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay kumar, Anil Kapoor, Deepika padukone, Shilpa Shetty , Chiranjeevi, Rajnikant,Kamal Hassan, Mohan lal, and now Mammooty. You may be an idiot,but not those in the list

If you look back Kannada film industry has offered some of the finest actors and actresses to the Indian cinema. People like Saroja Devi, Jayalalitha, Jayanti, Rajani Kanth, Prakash Rai, Arjun Sarja, Suman, Vinod Alva, recently Deepika Padukone list goes on........
Mamooty acting in Kannada film is not a big deal and my fellow neighbor state blogger need not be so excited that they start bashing and suggesting mamooty not to act in kannada films. HOwever Mamooty doesnt make any sense in kannada movie.
kannada film industry should retrospect their achievements of its 70's and 80's, this is the time when sandalwood has offer some of the remarkable movies. Kannada movies are know for its simplistic story telling and subtle acting, but now that these guys started aping telugu, tamil and hindi movies and started making loud & ideotic movies.

Except for Prakash Raj and Arjun to an extent, other in the list are too boring. Kannada indeed had Vishnuvardhan was a good actor and a lot of good directors in 70s and 80s, but presently the situation is far from that. Kannada needs good movies, Mamootty is not the panacea for this, but good movies are. If Mammootty has chosen a good movie it is good for him and Kannada filmdom
