For being brought up in a country, where not shakespere like you are born, but common poets like RN tagore are.

Please spare the criticosm, as I can't understand a word u say, and skip to the rating.

Good analyzer not a good critic
by Brijesh Babu on May 29, 2010 08:01 AM  | Hide replies

raja sen cannot critic movies. Period. He may be good in analyzing it but critiquing. Nope. He said MNIK is good and Kites is bad. Well, Kites is better than MNIK, lets accept that and MNIK is not great either with SRK aping Rainman.

criticism and analysis are Siamese twins...and our friend babu seems to probably wants simple value judgments or star ratings...he can go to idmb or rotten tomatoes to have a glance at the star rating and decide on whether to watch the movies or not.film as you will understand my friend is a public discourse and is definitely liable to be analyzed as well as criticised...if somebody doesn't like analysis he/she as well stop depending on it..rediff is getting populated by semi-morons if not worse...

Good film
by Deepak Rajgor on May 29, 2010 07:06 AM  | Hide replies

Hey, its a nice film...why do you expect every Hollywood film to be going to Oscars or what? Its apt mythic story with some amazing gymnastic stunts for prince of Persia, great art direction and special effects. Though the mid-point to pp2 could have been sharper but its good film

Douglas Fairbanks !!!
by Shivaji Ghosh on May 28, 2010 10:48 PM  | Hide replies

Am sure you meant Faibanks senior. Man, he belonged to the silent era of Hollywood (died in 1939). I don't think someone interested in reading the review of PoP with the intention of watching it would be faintly acquainted with such name. Keep it simple, can't you ?
