Great to know that technology has restored the preservation of a classic like Kandahar..
There was an era(1960-1990) when really class movies were made in India which were directed by eminent directors Satyajit Ray,Shyam Benegal,Adoor Gopalakrishnan,Mrinal Sen,Jahnu Barua,Bhabendra Nath Saikia,Aravindan,Shaji Karun,Aribam Siam Sharma..and those class movies used to shine in global film festivals.Although those class films did not have a large audience in the country,however,those films were able to earn international accolades. Those movies were brutally realistic,intense and the directors had social purpose of making those movies.I feel all such great movies should be restored by technology to preserve our heritage...
