Loved watching this movie with my child
by reviewer on Sep 16, 2011 11:39 AM

A nice refreshing movie. I liked both child actors..both fitted the role well. can't stop adoring the chubby, cute face of zia.
The film was good on all front expect for fact that somewhere the focus was getting shifted from the main character to the marketing of shoes....director cud have avoided this. overall a very good movie.

Foolish reveiw
by Praveen on May 20, 2011 02:42 AM

i watched it today and every actor has worked quite well. it shows problems faced by a child in poor family and how the thing we don't even consider worth thinking are big issues in poor family.

Even better than blue umbrella and Tare Zamin par
by rakesh sharma on Jan 08, 2011 06:24 PM

I did not know anything about this movie until today when i saw it. story as well as direction is better than the Tare Zamin par and blue umbrella. This is comparable to these two movies only. The All characters have performed excellently. Every scenes were emotional as everything was revolving around the shoes, symbolizing poverty with plenty. Children were more original than manipulated in commercial films or ads. By the end, I was becoming eager to read about production team. Then finally came the name of Priydarshan. Great Job. A must see to normal human beings concerned with humanity and inequalities.

monotonous review for all priyan movies
by anoopkumar velikkakathgopi on Aug 27, 2010 08:19 AM

How good the movie is, if the director is priyadarshan, all the reveiwers will try their best to suppress its success. Probably they had a hard time to give him 1.5 stars.
Even if the movie succeeds in rejuvenating our old dead emotions of love and sacrifice of childhood days, if the director is Priyadarshan, no matter what, the movie is supposed to be below average. They think the audience are easy to be fooled.Probably they just copy paste the Review comments for all priyadarshan movies.

Dont kill talent
by Krishna Prasad on May 24, 2010 03:00 PM

Chamchas of Big Bollywood stars promote only children of stars and talented actor from common people get criticised and crushed because the bigges view them as threat. What do you expect a 12 year kid to act like???He is brilliant considering he doesnt have any god fathers and mothers.

This is why good films dont take off in India and week after week, day after day only Kareena,Rithk,Avhishek...get media coverage for silly and wrong reasons.Real Talent, if its there will bloom inspite of criticisms, backbites and stabbing

nonsense review
by Uttaran Hazarika on May 20, 2010 11:16 AM

The film is a classic...it has presented a multitude of issues in a very lucid way...ofcourse it's not only a children's film...it has a focus on social issues as well...the most important is the way the story is presented...it may be an adaption but still it's a very very good movie...i'll say better than tare zameen par...
