Any movie thats released in 1000 theatres with a lot of publicity and some stars will make 50-60 crores. Its sill a Flop movie, because other than the cost of the movie, they spent tons on publicity . They need to make 100 crores to Break Even.

u dont know how buiness works and regarding 100 crore, the worldwide gross is alread heading to 101 crores, HF will do near 70 to 75 crore, and from overseas 26, plus the music has recovered a lot already, sattelite wud even help to earn more.
Movie has done 57 crore net in 9 days, and rediff says its a semihit.
Guys dont follow this sites.
Check Komal Nahta's trade journal where he gave verdict as hit, check taraan verdict - hit, check BOI and bollybusiness and now tell me will you take rediff anymore seriously.
dont try and fool people rediff. 2nd week had a normal drop due to reduction of shows as badmash company releasing but 2 weeks total is already heading 61 crore net. dont try fool people again.
Housefull semi hit? Ha Ha Ha such a Faltoo mvie just shows how these North Indians will watch any Crap as long as Akshay is a hero. What idiotic fellows. Its on of the worst movies ever made by that new Govinda- Akshay.
i have seen that this crooked bunch of some tamilians/mallus who never see hindi movies or do not hv sense to see nything apart from their idiotic movies keep coming on these forums and say ill things about hindi movies..u morons..dere is no article abt ur idiotic movies so u keep posting here..rott in hell

i dont know what rediff is upto..housefull has already earned 57 crores in 10 days and will surely end up around 70-75 crore which will be among top 5 grossing movies in indian cinema...wht is rediff expecting here...200 or 220 crore which only 3 idiots has done..cmon..jago grahak jago

you know the film industry in india is very dynamic. these days they sell TV rights in advance, as well cinema rights and music rights are well sold in advance at premium.

They recover their money by selling rights. You don't go to theater, but watch it on TV. Producer demands anything between (7-10Cr.) for a movie featuring stars. while movie movies you also watch advertisements on TV and go to buy that product. so ultimately you pay to producers indirectly. This is how chain works
