sensible article. Read about Vidya Balan: Though she's sari-clad through most of the film Vidya manages to look quite sensuous.
This is so ridiculous. Who does not look sensuous in sari. Take any Indian movie whether it is Sridevi ( Mr. India), Sushmita (main hoon na), Madhuri, Aish, Madhubala, Sharmila Tagore(chalkaye jhaam song) etc. If they want to show someone sensuous and dignified they show them in Saree. On the contrary when they want to show vulgarity (mostly cabaret type dance) they show them in western cloths. This author is clearly does not get it. From Amrapali days to modern era sari still makes a Indian lady look sensuous.

You are right! Take a look at this sentence "Alisha who looks so stunning in most of the scenes you wonder why her husband moved on." so the writer means just because you are pretty you are not supposed to have martial or other problems. How shallow and naive

I am braught up by a single woman and thts my mom. And,my father devorced my mom as is not happy with the dowry her parents gave her.Today,I am a mother of two and family woman with husband. But whatever I am its all becoz of her.I vote for single moms as men shud learn how to deal with their egoes and superiority. what a culture you talked about, where women are just getting killed becoz of dowry, not giving birth to male heir and so on.Gud culture you r talking about.

What culture? Burning brides for dowry, caste discrimination, eve-teasing, honor killing, considering women to be inferior to men. Is that the so called "our culture"? If so, its better not to have such a culture.
