I feel That Hindi songs are good compared to Tamil, they have tried to fit in the lyrics of the Hindi tune.. I wish Rahman shuld have done separate music for Tamil.. Not sure may be the mivie demands such a music,, but still Tamil songs hasn't grown within me than Hindi numbers.. Behene de is awesome than Usure pogudhe..
"Usure poguthu..." & "kattu sirukki.." is rocking..!!! After a long time Variramuthu at his best..!!!! ARR - Vairamuthu combo works again..!!!!! Eagerly waiting for the movie release...!!!!
Just because this is Rahman's music we are going for repetitive listeneing .. May be, the situations of the film demand such kind of composition .. But, as a music listener we need good songs to listen that makes us feel relaxed .. I feel like throwing away my head-phone out of frustration when I hear anuradha sriram's voice in kattu sirukki song.. Rahman,in all his movies, is forcing such voices.. I think it started from Uyire.. Thaiya Thaiya song ( kaattu vazhi ..).. Margandeya in New, etc.,
Also, in Ravanan, music and lyrics do not sync .. Who knows .. my view may change after watching the film.. Because Mani is more intelligent than me .. so he knows what kind of music he wants .. My comments are from the point of view of an ordinary man who buys a CD by paying from his pocket and expecting a quality music .. If the film doesn't require songs then don't have songs ... Simple .. Don't misuse the respect we have for Rahman-Mani Combination ..

Kannada????? dude this is the joke of the century...........wait for de movie to release and see the music in the context of the movie. Then you will be able to appreciate it better..................its not like the usual kind of songs, that are totally disjoint from the theme of the movie.......

Vinnaithandi Varuvaya song is from tamil movie ok.. Can u tell me a Kannada movie which has equivalent feel to VTV songs.. I think u r Jealous Rahman hasnt done any Kannada movie and u havent heard any good songs in tamil, malayalam nad hindi.. Definitely I will agree there are some melody songs in Kannada too, Im in bangalore for 4 years so I know bit of Kannada music too..

u might be a vijay or an idiotic rajni fan.maniratnam wont try same things like the idiotic tamil directors(ex shankar).this album is terrific and has got a different flavour.u might be better suited to spoon feeding shankar movies

The expectations are very high for Mani Ratnam's 'R'. I very much hope that Mani keeps up to his reputation with his new venture. Well personally what I feel is that such high publicity only wud bring disaster eventually. Gone are the days where he use to make movies for the masses, now it's for MNC'S
