u might be a vijay or an idiotic rajni fan.maniratnam wont try same things like the idiotic tamil directors(ex shankar).this album is terrific and has got a different flavour.u might be better suited to spoon feeding shankar movies

dont expect regular things man.probably u like listening to same kinds of music everytime.already the music has got great response.try to c more maniratnam films and keep yourself away from commercial ones.wait and watch manis ravaan and u will change ur attitude and even the comments u have typed

thanks for ur comment on me.perhaps u r adicted to same type of music.this is not an out and out love story so they tried out a different composition.if u r going for an albulm just c wheter it sounds different.mani is not ks.ravikumar.so be broadminded when u listen to maniratnam film songs.

The expectations are very high for Mani Ratnam's 'R'. I very much hope that Mani keeps up to his reputation with his new venture. Well personally what I feel is that such high publicity only wud bring disaster eventually. Gone are the days where he use to make movies for the masses, now it's for MNC'S

U see.. The original is Thamizh.. It is called as Tamil because there is no 'Zha' word in any other language. You wont call the guy who does perfect as fanatic..

at least that version is non worthy! I think Rahman is getting repetitive, same tune same instruments, same dependence on electronica. Its getting boring, though original, but still boring!

actually speaking, when ARR was using too much electronics and synthesizers, his music sounded just perfect ..remember ARR of 90s Kadhalan, Gentleman, and all.. then he started experimenting with real instruments, more from his bombay dreams album..its just tht some experiments are more sucessful like in lagaan, slumdog :-) but kudos..he cud have easily comeup with a soundtrack like Shivaji, safe easy to listen nos..but thts whr ARR thinks differently and is progressive in his music..
