It is unfortunate because the reporters know cannes festivals these days because commercial movies of Shahrukh or Hrithik gets entry to Cannes these days..
Once upon a time there were masterpieces of Indian cinema that were screened in Cannes. To name some of those great directors: Satyajit Ray,A. Gopalakrishnan,Aravindan,Dr. Saikia,Jahnu Barua,Mrinal Sen,Ritwik Ghatak,Shyam Benegal, etc.
