She had already acted in a Sun TV serial called "Indhira", produced by Times TV Siddique, which was a damb squib. That came at the same time when Khushboo debuted in TV with "Marumagal" and Devyani in "Kolangal". In this race Devyani won. For strange reasons Gouthami refuses to acknowledge that serial in all of her interviews making as if "Abirami" is her TV debut.

You are right...She had acted earlier in 'Indhira' which was telecasted in Sun TV at 9 pm on weekdays in the year 1999 or so...Its more than 10 years now and Gouthami might hv thought the viewers might hv easily forgot this fact as the serial did not fare well...But it is really ridiculous to ignore the work that you hv done whether it is a failure or not....Not expected this from a successful actress like Gowthami
