I am no Raja Sen or something to criticize a movie in rediff but SB has really not compromised reality and at the same time kept the satire. Smart choices of actors especially Boman and Ila. Minasha does not fit in with her dialogue but a good job. Ravi Kissen's act was not that impactive, Sonali K is wasted. Overall I rate this movie DVD/Bluray material

Why has my previous message been deleted by moderator when all I said was that the movie is not a copy of any movie and it is inspired by 3 short stories..so due credit has been given to the writers
I want to know whether due Credit has been given to original writer or not by the benegal or he has done the rajkumar hirani/ bidu v. chopra/Amir khan act in this movie?
shyam benegal was class in the past, but in recent years he looks like a compromised director. He was instrumental in discovering the great actors like naseeruddeen shah, om puri, amarish puri, shabana azmi, smitha patil, anant nag etc in the past but in the last 10 years he has made crap like welcome to sajjanpur.

The problem with you all is to follow the controversies created to just pip their publicity and then you all call it is great movie and give 5 stars. When there is no controversy, very little publicity and it is indeed a good script, you give only 3 stars. That is how the reviewers behave nowadays. And there are people like ar to comment too.
Its a very nice movie. Worth watching and it was so real that you could easily identify yourself with all the lead characters and the situation faced by them. To think of it it doesn't have any lead actors, neither media hype, and no promotional campaigns and yet its highly entertaining. Not even for a second you feel bored in the movie or feel something else. Hats off! Mr. Shyam Benegal. Only a director of your caliber can make such movie. Its so called off-beat movie but with huge commercial value. And its proved that only Script is the King and no Singh, Badshah,and Idiot can make a 100 crore profit in a movie without any script.
The film is not that bad. it was decent. Shyam benegal showed his class. and what can be said about boman irani, he is simply brilliant. From Dr. J. Asthana in mbbs, Lucky Singh in lage raho and Prof. Veeru sahastrabuddhe in 3 idiots to armaan and rehmaan ali in well done abba boman irani has shown his class as an actor.

Yes, you would have known that story. But so many people would have born after you and they need to be told too. For them someone like Shambenegal will do. Otherwise, we dont tell what we learnt and assume many will know it. Sham Benegal effort need to be appreciated and of course the movie is good. If you are not in right mood or in the mood of IPL, you always have choice nowadays.
